If your having trouble with your modem try this patch, Let me know how it goes

Well it was a heap of shit to start with, Dropping power randomly, But my 
fix got it running stable,

As soon as I sent data (icq connecting) the modem would shut off, No lights 
at all, it would say It would still say I am connected, I called pacific 12 
times and they couldnt do anymore,

Seems this patch fixed it (hasnt happen since)
